Mackintosh Heart

With this design, you can express your love for Charles Rennie Mackintosh and fun little alphabet samplers at the same time.

This pattern gives you the option to choose between two beautiful colorways and two shapes of rose motifs, and to combine them in whichever way you like. The gray-and-pink colorway is a tribute to the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow, while the black-and-red is a bolder but still archetypal Mackintosh color combination. These rose motifs are the perfect opportunity to experiment with your pink, mauve, rose, red, and even purple hand-dyed "fancy flosses." DMC alternatives are also provided.

PATTERN NOTE: In these designs, the letters are worked over-two and the Mackintosh rose motifs are worked over-one, so stitching on Aida cloth would not be appropriate. However, if you are new to one-over-one stitching, "Mackintosh Heart" is a great way to flex your stitching muscles and dive into the tiny, addictive world of one-over-one. The models were stitched on 25-count Lugana which is my personal favorite fabric for one-over-one stitching.

Please convo me if you have any questions -- I'd love to hear from you and see pictures of your projects!

Happy stitching!
